28 Capri Italy
I really do not even know why I am bothering to review this place to be honest. But I ate here so I thought I should come clean. We all were in the mood for pasta. The appetizers didn't sound exciting enough to order, so we didn't. I guess it survives solely by being in busy Defence Colony Market.
- Spaghetti Bolognese - Ugh big red tomatoey mush! It tasted exactly like bolognese from a bottle or even better one of those microwave T.V dinners. They clearly do not get the concept of al dente, the pasta was way to over cooked! This was the case with all three pasta dishes.
- Spaghetti Carbonara - Pretty insipid. Tasted like boiled milk. Meh! At least they were generous with the bacon.

- Ravioli w/ Aglio Olio Peperoncino and Parsley - This is what I ordered since they claim they make their own ravioli. Again over boiled, over stuffed spinach and cheese ravioli. I also had bacon added ... of course. The waiter suggesting I get this with "White Cream Sauce" as this choice was not a good choice with the ravioli. Oh did I say suggesting? I meant insisted... and insisted. I appreciate waiters taking initiate and recommending .. Quite a refreshing change from "Everything is good only maam." But he then actually took our order and came back to tell me not to get it with the aglio olio again! Now I know they have been taught a few suggestions of what pasta to pair with what sauce but come on!. How to even begin explaining to this waiter that I think ravioli is best served in its simplest form be it with some butter and sage or some olive oil and garlic. What better way to taste the sumptuous filling this little dumpling can hold. So I smiled and assured him I knew what I was doing. Out of everything I tasted I think this dish was most bearable.
Surprise, surprise we didn't order dessert.!
